According to local media, DHL, a German logistics company, will invest R $800 million in Brazil to accelerate the optimization of the company’s storage and distribution facilities in Brazil and improve the level of electronic and digital supply chain. In the wave of layoffs in multinational companies in the United States and Europe, the Brazilian subsidiary of DHL in Germany has been recruiting and expanding its staff in Brazil in recent years. At present, the company has 200 corporate customer groups in Pakistan, involving key industries such as automobile, consumer goods, technology, healthcare, energy and manufacturing, and chemical industry, as well as online retail and physical stores. DHL hopes to invest in the real estate business and electric vehicle distribution fleet in Pakistan, because the cost of real estate leasing accounts for up to 50% of the total investment in warehousing and distribution facilities, and the electric vehicle fleet will help the company reduce its carbon emissions by 50% by 2030.
